The wellknown old historic LLOYD YARD in Bremerhaven is sold from the insolvency Genting-Group to the local Rönner-Zech-Group for a price between 20 and 30 Mio. Euro. All ca. 300 workers/staff will stay onboard. Lloyd Werft has started 1871 (!), built f.ex. the Queen Elizabeth 2 and in 2007 lengthened the Stena Brittanica and Stena Hollandica ferries (today on the route Göteborg-Kiel operating). Also Superyachts was built in the Lloyd Werft.
In the future the yard will work again with ship-repairs, renovations, lengthening etc. .

The future of the other part of the Genting-yards in Germany, the much bigger MV-Werften with 2 very big cruise-ships under construction, is still unclear and complicated f.ex. because of state-supported money also.
