The German Government has been chartering the FSRU Höegh Esperanza for 1o years. She has recently starter her deployment in Wilhelmshaven. Rumors claim that her daily charter hire rates are 100,000 USD! The Charter rates for LNG Tankers have sunk, as they reached a high of 200,00 USD last year. Can anyone, here, say what Germany really is paying and whether the Charter party would have a clause whereas rates are adjustable downward if the market rates trend lower?
