Generally no good sign that Viking Line and Tallink-Silja has problems to get her ferries full again after the 2 COVID-years now.

Daily cruise possibilities from Stockholm 2019 against now from oct. 2022:
- 1 x daily TallinkSilja to Riga
- 1 x daily TallinkSilja to Tallinn
- 2 ferries daily to Helsinki (Viking + Silja)
- 2 ferries every morning to Turku (Viking + TallinkSilja)
- 2 ferries every evening to Turku (Viking + TallinkSilja)
- 1 x daily Cinderella 23 hours cruise
- 1 x daily Birka 23 hours cruise

And in future there is only
- every 2nd day to Tallinn (Tallink)
- every 2nd day to Helsinki (Viking)
- 1 x every day to Helsinki (Silja)
- 2 x every morning to Turku (Tallink + Viking)
- 1 x every evening to Turku (Viking)
- 1 x Cinderella 23 hours cruise

So the daily capacity from Stockholm is reduced from 10 big ships to only 6... .

Most other transportation-possiblities are booming (f.ex. airlines and cruiseships) in Europe again - but the cruise-ferries in the baltic region has problems... :( .
In no other region so many big ferries was going so fast out of regular daily service as now here in the baltic, sold or used as hotel-ship anywhere.
Especially to run a route only every 2nd day is not good... .

The price of more than 19 mio. is ok for a 34 years old ferry with less than 1000lm space for trucks - lets hope that they will invest it in the next years into the next newbuilding or a "modern used" ferry which is for sale soon (f.ex. Mobi Aki, Moby Wonder etc.). If Viking will not buy another ferry then maybe Cinderella will go in next summer ca. 15.june to 15.sept. on the route to Helsinki as 2nd ferry (?). But the rest of year it seems so that Viking gets more money from 23-hours-cruises than with a regular departure to Helsinki.... .
