Maybe we can see clear about further DFDS newbuildings, there was some not really clear infos in the new annual report:
A) DFDS will get 5 new Battery-ferries with XXXL Duty-free for Dover-Calais/Dunkerque CIRCA 2030
B) 1 other new green (=LNG ?) RoPax ferry will arrive in 2025
C) In 2022 is ca. 108 Mio. Euro needed for 1 RoPax and for
D) to take the option for 1 more freight-ferry (first parts of the both payments ?)

A) means that CIRCA around 2030 will replaced:
Cote des Dunes, Cote des Flandres, Delft Seaways, Dover Seaways, Dunkerque Seaways

B) + C) DFDS will order now in 2022 1 new RoPax for delivery in 2025 ?
For which route ? Ireland-France ? Baltic routes ? How much Pax ? Why only 1 ?

Maybe the Visby-Visborg is chartered for 3 years more and then to be replaced ?

D) A further sister to Scandia Seaways ?

No word about the last year announced future-project with new Hydrogen-Cruise-Ferries for Copenhagen-Oslo.
No word about Amsterdam-Newcastle with the oldest ferries in the fleet.
No word about the future of the Brexit-Bypass-Line, will it continues as "Freight-only-line" ? Or in the future with Pax also ?

Further infos:
1) very big business from Duty Free sales
2) lower ticket prices in the Channel because of Irish Ferries :) THANK YOU IRISH FERRIES !
3) more and more rising up in freight, specially on the baltic routes
4) the lifetime of the 4 cruiseferries is now planned for 45 (!!!) years
5) Fleet is 10 RoPax in the Channel (2 Ireland, 2 Dieppe, 3 Calais, 3 Dunkerque) and 7 in the Baltic (and 41 freighters)
6) Split freight / pax in 2021 ca. 90:10 - in 2019 it was ca. 70:30

Especially point 4) i can not really believe - means that the 4 oldest ferries will stay much more longer on her routes !
Because the old and small Patria Seaways is in no timetable from August and is officially for sale - maybe she will then leave the fleet = then 6 ferries in the baltic.
