Amazing that this vessel is completed after all these years. It was originally ordered in late 2013, then cancelled by Petrofac in 2015 and then "sold" by Petrofac to ZPMC in 2018, who then proceeded to complete it on spec. Most of the articles referring to the original order seem to have gone...
Strange, MSC just announced AGAIN the confirmation of the orders for hull 3 and 4 of this class. They already announced those on 20 Jan 2020. I guess they backtracked on that plan during Covid and have now made a new deal...

Great to see our Norwegian friends continuing to put their faith in the Dutch builders rather than going to China or Turkey!
Apparently, MEIN SCHIFF RELAX is the actual name for hull 6312. MEIN SCHIFF 8 was apparently never confirmed by the line. MEIN SCHIFF RELAX (horrible name) will debut in March 2025 now. I think MEIN SCHIFF 9 will also get a different name (also something stupid probably).
I hope to be pleasantly surprised, and 4 years is a reasonable time schedule. I was just looking at the build times of the large icebreakers and those were all delayed ;-)
She left Limassol for the Suez Canal on 8 April. No updates after 12 April 2023. I guess she is now in one of the Saudi ports on the Red Sea, but really not sure. If anyone has seen her, that would be great to hear about it (or even see a pic?).
I think it is basically On Hold. Even if the owner gets compensation from Vard (which he did, didn't he?), he will still need to pay a fortune to complete it somewhere else.
