Ultra Deep has signed another 3 DSCV to be build in China Merchant Heavy Industries
Ultra Deep Solutions has signed with China Merchants Heavy Industries (CMHI), to design and construct of 3 units of the Marin Teknikk (MT) - designed construction vessels MT6023, designed to operate worldwide. This marks another important milestone in the history of Ultra Deep Solutions, in line with the company's strategic plan to spearhead the development and operation of efficient, cost-effective diving and support vessels in the oil and gas industry.
With the partnership and cooperation of China Merchants Heavy Industries (CMHI), these Diving Support Vessels will be constructed with a target completion in 2017/2018. China Merchants Heavy Industry (CMHI), incorporated since 1997, one of the largest shipyards in China, has a successful track of record of delivering offshore rigs and vessels for the oil and gas industry. CMHI is currently building 2 Diving Support Vessels, due for delivery in 2015, which makes CMHI one of the most experienced Chinese shipyard to construct these complex vessels for UDS.
The custom-designed DP2 MT6023 DSCV vessel, classed under Det Norsk Veritas (DNV), is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, which allows the vessel to operate in unrestricted waters for subsea support works. She is also equipped with a heave compensated 150T crane (depth of 3000m), a 18-men saturation system twin 18-men SPHL up to a depth of 300m, and WROV with LARS system.

We've had another milestone today. Our DSCV vessel building continue's in the right direction with another "Keel Laying" ceremony. Our teams have continued to perform at the highest levels in the ship building industry. We would like to thank MT design from Norway, CMHI, DNV-GL, ITO Marine to get us to these tremendous steps as we move forward
Merry Christmas from the CMHI UDS building team. The "Van Gogh" receiving its final block. The Bulbous nose going in place.
Amazing job Jithu and your team
Our DSCV " Van Gogh" taking incredible shape. The Bell umbilical winches being installed as the last few pieces of the puzzle come together.
The reasoning by naming our first vessel "Van Gogh". They say he was a genius in his time. He died at the age of 37 in 1890. Van Gogh was believed to have painted a rough estimation of 2100 paintings which 860 were painted in oil. Van Gogh actually painted many self portraits of himself with a multitude of colors. Like most artists they have a sense of creativity which we have taken into our ship building. At UDS we pride ourselves in the building of these fantastic pieces of modern metal art. I remember painting "Van Gogh" back in 2011 in a "Hoody". By 2018 we will have our first "Van Gogh" vessel. Shel Hutton
