Polferries, Bygg nr. 237 ved Visentini, RoPax "Varsovia"

Polferries has now secured their long awaited relief vessel until the Remontowa newbuilds are delivered. It will be based on Visentini's in-house design of A Galeotta, with a capacity nearly equivalent of a "standard" E-Flexer (i.e. >3km of cargo space, 1000PAX, 230 cabins). With a planned delivery in 2024, she's intended for operation on the Świnoujście-Ystad route. Not too many details have been revealed about her propulsion, but seems to be LNG-Ready (not to be confused with "LNG-Powered"), though early renders with a characteristic "LNG mast" behind the funnel generates some confusion.

Taking advantage of the granted state support of 140 million PLN, the contract is a long-term charter (i.e. 10 years) with an option for purchase after 6 years. Seems like Visentini can keep a secret, as sources claim she's already under construction ;)

I was never a friend of the Visentini-Ropax... . I think this is the "Dacia" in the ferry-business.
A very basic and simple constructed Ropax-ferry with the cheapest price "made in Europe". Just to carry something from A to B - then take a Visentini.
And - just to compare it with cars - the Honfleur is maybe an Audi A4 or a BMW 3xx... .
So i am sure that the price for the Honfleur is higher also as for a Visentini-newbuilt.

But the old Polferries freighters has a very low standard and also the Remontowa-newbuildings will be very basic ferries - so a Visentini is matching much better together in these fleet than a higher quality and better standard Honfleur-ferry... . I remember some drawing-pictures from Brittany Ferries about Honfleur before she was canceled - it was inside a much higher level and better standard as every Visentini... .
Still the big question what happens with Honfleur... .

So maybe the Visentini for Polferries is number 240 ?
And the ferry on the picture under construction is 239 for a secret unknown buyer - ready in 2023 ?
And 238 is "A Galeotta" which is now ready and will be soon delivered in 2022.
And before this was "GNV Bridge" delivered in 2021.
So CIRCA every year 1 new Visentini-ferry is completed.
 
Et lite "snutebilde" av Polferries nye Visentinidame (via Facebooksiden til førstnevnte). Den røde malingen skaper kanskje litt tvil om Polferries har "lånt" et bilde av A. Galeotta?
